I really appreciated Steven Hughes and his inspection he did of a house we were purchasing. He was thorough and he took the time to show us things that needed attention rather than just handing us a report. He did a walk through of the house after he did the inspection and basically explained how the house systems work, which I appreciated. Steven did a great job inspecting our new home. He was thorough and gave great feedback. He had some bonus tools that I have noticed other inspectors don't like thermal and moisture meters to check for insulation and moisture throughout the home. He also offers a bonus warranty on his inspections which I thought was pretty cool. We had a little miscommunication over the date of our booking. If I had one complaint it would be that his booking system and pre inspection communication could be better. Great inspector, would recommend and use again! Thanks Steven. Nick

Vancouver Island Hughes Home Inspection Services provides outstanding service with a well laid out, thorough and easy to understand report. Steven was in constant communication from the time I engaged his services. He is friendly, accommodating, well spoken and knowledgeable. The report laid out information on 8 major areas of the structure and appliances. The accompanying photos assisted in interpreting the report text. The "Recommendations" section provided a great overview on what repairs may be required immediately, what should be monitored and what to look for in the future. Also included in the report were pictorial representations of what may cause damage and why. Another inclusion in the Inspection was the "Recall Check".
