A Home Inspection is:

• An evaluation and professional opinion of the performance of the readily accessible and visible systems of a home at the time of inspection
• A visual evaluation and not technically exhaustive
• Intended to find visible components that are notably deficient, unsafe, or at/near the end of their life
• Documented with a written report

A home Inspection is not:

• An insurance policy, warranty, or guarantee on the home
• An invasive or destructive investigation
• Intended to find concealed issues or defects
• An environmental evaluation or energy audit

The purpose of our home inspection is to identify visible safety issues and any visible deficiencies in the 7 major systems of the home:

• Electrical
• Plumbing
• Roofing
• HVAC (heating, ventilation & air conditioning)
• Foundation & structure
• Exterior & interior
• Insulation

We also use moisture meters  to potentially detect moisture and insulation issues you can’t see with the naked eye.

We adhere to the residential standards of practice of CanNACHI - Canada's Commercial and Home Inspector Association. The Standards of Practice are a set of guidelines for home inspectors to follow in the performance of their inspections.

The Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics are recognized by many related professionals as the definitive standard for professional performance in the industry.
